Beautiful Day, Beautiful Couple...
Enough Said!
This past Saturday was one of those very few days where we didn't have a wedding to photograph...didn't quite know what to do with ourselves! As fate would have it our son Thomas was assigned to Honor Guard duty to present Colors before the Carolina - SC State game. I called my good friend & USC sports photographer extrordinaire Gregg Martin to see if he would photograph Thomas doing his thing. Gregg did me one better by allowing me to go sidelines with him! Wow, what a blast! I found out that being an experienced wedding and portrait photographer doesn't exactly translate into being a good sports photographer! I found myself a little late on the action all night! It was SO much fun though!
Thanks Gregg!

I had the opportunity to speak to the Professional Photographers of Georgia at their annual convention held in Jekyll Island this past weekend. Yvonne and I had a great time with our good friends Tracy & Dean Nance from Magnolia Frames & Rachel Fierro from H&H Color Lab. Magnolia & H&H sponsored my presentation, I'm honored they allowed me to represent them to the photographers of the GPPA. We also got to spend a few days with big time speaker Karen Goforth & her husband Buddy. Karen epitomizes the term "Rock Star Photographer" with her amazing photographic talent & wonderful personality. I remember her when she was one of us little people. :)
Here are a couple images from the weekend.

I think I was saying something important....

We could have made a fortune selling coffee to keep people awake!

Yvonne and I have always been big supporters of America's men and women who choose to serve their country in the armed forces. In my opinion, we can't thank them enough. Yvonne and I had the privilege to meet the Shepherd family a few weeks ago. Natay had responded to a piece we mailed about our new Be’be' Children’s Portraiture program and so we photographed Dwayne, Natay, Kennedy & Payton right before Dwayne shipped off to Afghanistan. They are an amazing young family that I am both fond of and thankful for. It takes a special kind of husband and daddy to travel half a world away in service of his nation while his family waits for him to return. And it takes a special kind of wife and mommy to raise those beautiful young ladies while her husband is away. Here are a few images from their very special session.
Blessings to you Dwayne, Natay, Kennedy & Payton

Yvonne's mom Yvonne was in town from Iowa a little while back, Amanda was in from Atlanta. Each of the ladies were only daughters in each of their families. Yvonne's mom was an only child, Yvonne was the only daughter of five children & Amanda is our only daughter of our three children. They have always had a special bond between them that I've always admired. Seemed like a great idea to create a few generational portraits in our "Relationship" style. Here are three of my favorites.

I love this image!
Yvonne and I had a great time with some great families last week at Litchfield Beach! What was really cool is that each family started as past wedding clients. While we were photographing little Broxton daddy pulled out his camera for some "action" shots. Yvonne and I really enjoyed the images so we thought we would post a few with a couple of ours from the session. Thanks Delphin!
"Broxton...look at the boat!"
Me chimping as usual! What did I ever do before digital cameras?
Great action shot Delphin!
I am blessed to do what I do! It makes me happy!
As any of you who have worked with us know, Yvonne does all the hard work :)
I am completely camera un-aware.

Amanda, Delphin, Broxton & new brother to come!

Thank you Gantt family!
You know how sometimes you do things as ministry and you end up being the recipient of blessings more than what you really feel you put into it? That's how Yvonne and I felt after leaving the WMHK Summer Kickoff Concert this past Friday. We had the opportunity to be a small part of the wonderful ministry of WMHK Christian radio & create some really cool photographs of the event featuring Rush of Fools and Matthew West. Christian music has changed by leaps and bounds since I became a Christian in 1982! The genre is now second to none in regards to quality of music - and of course the message speaks for itself. Here are a couple of MY favorite images. To see all the images click "here". Thanks to our friend and fellow Crossmark Church member Leanne Fishburne for allowing us to serve in this capacity.

If you haven't seen the video to the song "The Motions" it's an amazing testimony. It's my current life anthem.

Yvonne & I with Rush of Fools. Check out their video "Undo". Wonderful, Godly young men.

ALL ACCESS PASSES!

Wow, was it hot! Crowd didn't mind though. The best was yet to come!
